We live in a prosperous Universe – you know that because you tap into it when you are ‘in the zone’ of your delivering your products and services. So being broke is not a natural state!

You can’t be all of who you are and help other people if you are living on the edge of financial survival.

If you want to generate more revenues through your service business, it’s your obligation to go beyond the ‘traditional’ in your marketing to become more visible to the people looking for you right now.

The bottom line in business is that you have to be seen to sell.

And that means as a professional in your own business, you have to go beyond doing what you love into what might be intimidating because (in case you don’t know this yet) you are also a marketer.

Activate Your Marketing

Marketing is the ability to shift a person’s perceptions by addressing their natural resistance to change and, usually, it’s a change they want to make if they’re looking for what you have to offer.

Marketing is the invitation that opens the door to something new. It’s the bridge for people to discover their solution to what IS to create what can BE for them.

Marketing is setting the stage for you to do what you do with a new audience. (And that’s different from sales, by the way… sales is the technical aspect of completing a transaction and receiving the revenues, although it actually becomes almost a moot point when the marketing is done well. It is possible for a product or service to sell itself with good marketing.)

Just as you activate the energy to do what you do in your work, you can activate your marketing to be attractive to your potential customers. This is the ‘art of business visibility’ because it goes beyond the textbook definitions of marketing.

Think about your industry and the people you know who do it – there are technicians, who follow the rules and are competent in doing the work, and then there are the artists, who play with and have mastered the energy of the work.

You know the business ‘artists’ because you can feel who they are in what they do through every aspect of their business. And it’s that feeeeeeeling we desire to capture in your marketing.

Getting visible so the people who need your products and services can be easy. It’s about the ‘energetic sweet spot’ of your business, which has three components:

  1. Expressing who you are through your gifts in a business
  2. That solves a problem for others
  3. Who recognize your value and are willing to pay you for it.
