A NOTE FROM THE CATALYSTWe're officially 75% of the way through 2007 - and it is FLYING by, isn't it? In the last few weeks, I've felt "the quickening" that comes with the changing of the seasons. This past weekend, I drove up to the mountains of Southern California, leaving 108 sunny degrees here in the desert to bask in a mere 61 degrees with rain showers - truly an experience in perspective. Just one hour made a 50 degree temperature difference - and I got to soak in yummy fall energy!
I also published my latest ebook online called The Feng Shui Way to Wealth; this has been in the works for more than two years, so it's a coup for me to be able to offer it to the world. It's about 70 pages and covers pretty much everything you need to know about feng shui in general, and then specifically how to harness the power of your personal feng shui to create and attract greater wealth in your life. It's the culmination of about 10 years of my feng shui experience AND personal development around wealth - and it's made a big difference to the people who have read it already. That's the choice I make (see above quote) - to be of service in making a big difference to the quality of life for people. I'm honored to be able to fulfill my purpose by doing that on a daily basis. We don't have guarantees in life but we do have the power of our choices that propel us toward getting more of what we want. Making Positive Choices from Infinite PossibilitiesI believe that we are spirit travelling incognito as humans; in fact, I wrote a movie about that. The key concept to us, as spirit, is that we are swimming in infinite possibilities on a daily basis (not that time has the same meaning to spirit), and we have to make choices in order to "tangible-ize" our possibilities. Every day, we choose little things, whether to work out, what to eat, who to spend time with and what to work on throughout the day, and big things, like our interpretation of the meaning of life and how we want to show up in the world. Our job is not necessarily to create opportunities but to decide which ones to pursue. And the hardest part about it is that there are no guarantees - there are only choices. So how do we know what choices are best for us? A positive choice just feels good. Some part of us knows that it is the right thing to do. It opens up our lives and creates new momentum for the best of us to shine and be recognized, even if only by our own inner fan club. And we know when it's time to make a new choice when we feel: stuck, tired, sick, confused, negative, fearful, bored, safe, comfortable... and more. We know when it's time to make a new choice. The question really becomes: are we ready to have something new? A positive choice moves us forward in some sense (even if it's hard to do or against the well-intentioned advice of others) because it helps us become more aligned with our true purpose. It's a choice that is about us, not about anybody else or their wishes or what they can gain by it - it's truly in our best interest and we have the domain to make the choice at hand. A positive choice sets us up to win - we will gain something, whether it be knowledge, skills or experience, by pushing our growing edge. Or it might even feel like you're making it up, like there's no way "the hunch" could be real - like the psychic "tickle" that says to leave your house right now to visit a friend unexpectedly, only to discover that friend needed you in that moment. This past month I had a private business retreat, and a lot of really great next steps for Creative Catalyst were revealed - more on that later. And as a part of that, I took a body break and had a massage at La Costa. While there, I visited The Chopra Center - this candid photo is me in the private meditation area after hours. I'm in front of this saying: Sat Chit Ananda - My inner dialogue reflects the fire of... (me blocking this part) my soul. Interesting positioning for me, isn't it? There really are no coincidences... it's all about inner dialogue, the choices we make and where we put our energy. I love those kind of reminders.
