I know what it's like. About ten years ago, way back when I still had a regular corporate J-O-B (I don't even like to say the word!), I was miserable. I was living in a cold climate that forced me into anti-social hibernation, and because I was unhappy, I thought I didn't know how to be happy. So I constantly felt a need to take other people's advice on how to live my life. I would set monthly goals for myself, based on what someone else told me to do, and at the end of each month, I would find no discernible difference. So I'd listen to someone else and try something new the next month - again, with no real difference in my results. Talk about a downer!
What shifted me out of where I was to where I am today?
Today, I am successfully self-employed, and I live in Palm Springs, California - it feels like I live in a resort every day (which was one of my goals, by the way). I have as much of a social life as I want (sometimes I still hibernate, but it's to connect with myself instead of hide out from the cold). And I know - with confidence! - exactly what my next best thing is to do for myself AND my business!
